My name is Len Mount and I have been a pioneer in building and flying scale radio control model helicopters since 1973.
I have 20 national championship titles in different countries including England, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand and the USA. I have also been involved in building and flying model helicopters for the film industry including the James Bond epics of "Golden Eye", "The World is not Enough" and George Orwell's 1984.
I like to build models that replicate the full size in as much detail as I can, which includes fitting them out with fully working hatches, lights, seats and many other features. All my models fly with many of them being powered by miniature gas turbine engines that make them sound as good as the original. All models are built from 'scratch' with the exception of the radio and power plant.
Within this web site you'll see just some of the helicopters that I've built over the past few years. As well as give advice, I also undertake commissions in building unusual models (such as the Hiller J-10 built for the Hiller Museum in California) and in the development of mechanical systems such as rotor heads and tail drive mechanisms.
